Golf has always be recognized for its contributions to charitable organizations. Annually we host about 30 golf days that raise funds for a charity. Other fundraising initiatives by the club include our annual contribution to the Sanlam Cancer Challenge amongst other charity groups. In the past two years most of our Club Charity fundraising has been to boost our Caddy Fund which has been able to improve the welfare of our almost 150 caddies.

In 2009 The President’s Charity Fund will be launched to raise funds for a charity selected by The President on an annual basis. The President, Stan Michel, has selected the Glendower Caddy Fund as his charity of choice for 2009.  More details of fundraising for The President’s Charity Fund will be made available through the clubs newsletter and notice boards.
