Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) is defined as the following:

  • an integrated and coherent socio-economic process
  • a process that contributes to the economic transformation of the country
  • a process that increases the number of black people that manage, own and control the country’s economy
  • a process that decreases income inequalities

Glendower is committed to addressing the inequalities of the past and will develop policies that seek to promote Black Economic Empowerment.  Our policies are broken down into the following areas with specific goals being developed in each of these areas.

  • Management
  • Employment equity
  • Skills development
  • Preferential procurement
  • Enterprise development
  • Corporate social investment
  • Membership diversification

We acknowledge that Black Economic Empowerment is essential to the prosperous future of our Country and Club.
